Water cooler conversations
What's the scuttlebutt? Here ya go...on Tuesday, February 5th, 24 states held primary elections to select delegates to national conventions to choose Democratic and Republican presidential candidates. Just in case you haven't turned on a TV recently, we're in an election year. YAHOOOOO! So, does an election year do anything for you? Will we find you standing at a stoplight holding a sign for your candidate? Maybe you wish the whole thing would go away. AND...here's the real question. What does God think about all of this? Does he care? Is God a voter? How can we talk about this with our friends? We're starting a new teaching series at Grace called "Is God". This series is designed to help us take normal conversations that are already happening around the water cooler, break room, or hallway and turn them for spiritual impact. I hope to see you there. Feel free to drop a comment about the whole voting thing!

Huckabee supports Israel which is the candidate I will vote for. I am happy that he has been vigilant contending in the race, even with limited finacial support, while still keeping faith.
I'm pretty sure God is laughing at all of us voting! I can't stand voting...those shaky little plastic "booths" scare me, who even knows who half the people are on those ballots anyway. I was the only one voting at my polling place, and the little old ladies yelled at me because I didn't leave my pen in the right place. They wouldn't let me use my purple pen or vote for myself. Maybe we should vote for Oprah...

It makes me laugh when I hear people say "how would Jesus vote", as if it realy matters one way or another to the God who holds all things in His hand. The truth is He will put in place the world rulers that fit His plan. How would Jesus vote? Ithink He would vote for Himself.
My take on this is support our Goverment by paying Taxes due.But I dont sell my soul to it.I dont support any Goverment not following Gods Word.That includes allowing abortion,allowing same sex marriages,teaching sex education in schools.Thats where I only pay my taxes and vote for a God fearing President not some~House on the praire person"

God doesnt vote for anybody,he is our final JUDGEMENT.These left people running think there holding a magic fairy poof wand but there nothing but another snow job trying to be a sheperd but they forgot GOD somewhere.Its too bad there are too many people that these MAGIC FAIRY POOF WAND left got them in there hands and not in Gods. Waiting for all this CHANGE to happen.The only Change thats going to happen is when Jesus returns and final judgement happens.The Left are the Left,I wonder how things well go with them.A politican that God puts in office wants them to bring the DONUTS home.He doesnt expect a MAGIG FAIRY POOF WAND TO CANANGE things,only the RIGHT can do that for they follow more of his WORD.

I do like this conversation that was started. I will steer clear of the political rantings, and simply say that it is good to talk about what God is Like. i recently finished a series about what Jesus was not. I learned a ton of stuff about Him. Read the Gospels slowly and in a different translation and you can see the amazing person that Jesus is! I also recommend "The Jesus I Never Knew" by Philip yancy, and "The Cost of Discipleship" by Dietrich Bonehoeffer.

GOD puts people in certain fixed places for a reason.The people that are placed to fight as a soldier for Christ are there to attack the left which are satan lovers.The people that support murdering innocent babies thru. abortion and voting for political so called leaders that allow abortion etc. etc. that wants to destroy the good.But Jesus well win when he returns and burns every square inch of this sin infested world
